How we check pokies sites
The ledger has one rule. A figure goes in only if the operator wrote it on its own site, and we can point to the page and the day we read it.
What we read
- The footer: licence number and company.
- The help centre: minimum deposit, minimum withdrawal, processing time, fees, ID checks.
- The terms: the same figures again, plus restricted countries.
- The game provider's own page for RTP versions and demos.
- The Act, the regulations and the Department of Internal Affairs pages for the law.
Review sites, forums and aggregators are never a source.
When two pages disagree
It happens often. A help article gives one processing time and the terms give another. We print both and tell you to plan on the worse one. We rank on the worse one too.
How rows are ranked
By the slowest e-wallet payout the operator puts in writing: processing plus transfer. Ties go alphabetically. Commission does not move a row, and there are no stars or scores anywhere on this site.
What we have not done
- We have not opened an account, deposited or withdrawn. No payout on this site was timed by us.
- On 5 October 2026 we read every site from a New Zealand IP through a VPN, on a desktop browser. The phone layout was not checked, and the cashier inside an account may list more methods.
- Of 10 sites tried, 9 are ranked. The other one sends New Zealand visitors to mirror domains that name different operators, so we do not rank it.
- Licence numbers come from footers. Only the Galactic Wins and Boo Casino licence was matched against the regulator's register.
Each of these gaps is repeated in the author block of every page, so you never have to hunt for it.
Dates
"Published" is the day a page first went up. "Checked" is the day the operator pages were last read. We do not move the second date without reading the pages again.
Corrections
If an operator has changed a figure and our row is stale, tell us through the contact page. Send the link to the operator's page. We will read it and update the row with a new date.
